Dental Bonding to Bond Your Friendship
Bonding is a composite resin filling, placed in the back teeth as well as the front teeth. Composites are a solution for restoring decayed teeth, remove any strains on teeth, changing the color of teeth, close up minor gaps between teeth, correct crooked teeth, or reshaping the teeth.
A dental bonding procedure generally takes an hour or two, and involves the following steps:
apply a thin coating of a plastic material on the front surface of your teeth;
apply a bonding material, and sculpt, color, and shape it to provide a pleasing result;
apply a high-intensity light to harden the surface;
finely polish the surface;
apply a very mild etching solution to your teeth to create very small crevices in the tooth's enamel structure (to roughen the surface);
place a durable resin (of a shade matching to your color) to bond materials to your teeth;
apply a high-intensity light to cure (set) the resins onto your tooth's surface;
repeat the bonding and curing as many times as needed;
sculp the bonded material to fit your tooth;
finely polish the surface.
