Dental Implant Procedures Offered by Us

Dental implant is a screw or blade shaped artificial tooth made of titanium. It is used for reducing a teeth gap, for supporting crowns, bridges, or dentures. Our Dr. Millar and other doctors are well experienced in dental implants.

In a dental implant procedure, we:

take 2 and 3 dimensional x-rays;

make a detailed study of bones, nerves, and sinuses;

design and make a surgical stent (acrylic wafer);

select a dental implant (titanium screw or blade);

prepare the bone using precision drills and tools;

fit the stent over the teeth, bone surface, or mucosa;

bore a pilot hole into the bone, without damaging nerves and other structures;

expand the pilot hole by using progressively wider drills;

made an incision over the crest of the site if so needed;

screw the implant in place at a precise torque, without overloading the surrounding;

fix the implant; and

allow healing for crowns, bridges, or other treatments.
